Marco Bohr was born in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1978. He moved to Canada in 1999 to study photography at Ryerson University in Toronto. During a semester at Napier University in Edinburgh, Marco photographed the “No Ball Games” series which resulted in his first solo exhibition in 2003. Supported by a duMaurier grant he moved to Japan for one year where he studied Japanese at Nihon University in Tokyo. In 2005, Marco was part of an exhibition and publication titled “reGeneration: 50 photographers of tomorrow” at the Musee de l'Elysee in Lausanne.
