(b. 1988, Zanjan, Iran)
Mehdi Dandi received his BA in Graphic Design from Tehran University, Iran. As a Persian artist, poetry is an integral and guiding element in his artistic practice. Relying on emotional expression, Dandi empowers the camera’s frame to embrace the object and the story that awaits to be told; its poetry to be recited. Dandi’s relationship to his works disrupts the harmony between the image and its environment. His works have been included in over twenty-five group exhibitions in Italy, UK, UAE, USA, India and Iran. Mehdi currently lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
