Eldred Allen is an Inuk photographer from Rigolet, Nunatsiavut, NL, who has garnered attention for his expansive and stunningly lit landscape and wildlife scenes in his community. Allen’s artistic journey began in 2018 with the purchase of his first camera. As a self-taught photographer, he creates new perspectives in photographing everyday landscapes, wildlife, and activities utilizing both a handheld camera and UAV/drone perspective. Driven to elicit awe and excitement, he creates a radically different view of the ordinary. His composition and colouring elevate their everyday subject matter to the extraordinary.
